My Story
Hi and welcome to my online store!
I hope you enjoy my products as much as I enjoy making them.
My desire is to bring you the finest quality products around. It's been a long road to get to where I am now so I thought I'd give you a little bit of my history.
Back in 2013, I started making soy wax candles and tarts in the basement of my eastern Kentucky home with the desire to create high quality candles and wax melts for my family and friends. To be honest, I didn't really know what the heck I was doing, but I read all I could on the internet and just started making product. The first batches were a disaster but soon I started to get the hang of it!
Fast forward a few months and I worked my first festival, the Honey Festival in Jackson, KY. I followed that up with the Wolly Worm Festival in Beattyville, KY. These festivals allowed me to get my product under some noses and meet some great people. Soon my products were being stocked in local stores and flea markets. In time, Taste of Country Candles were found on shelves in several state parks across Kentucky. Then the move happened. My husband took a new position in the Mountain State of West Virginia in 2017 and I used the move to expand my business into a new state.
So, hopefully you've enjoyed reading a little about my story and the person who hand pours and labels each of the candles and tarts!
